ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS AND ADVANCEMENT
Entry Qualifications!

Holders of MBA in Human Resources Management or MSc. Human Resources Management, Public Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution. She/he must have at least 11 years relevant work experience, five (5) of which must have been in a senior managerial position. She/he, must have computer skills and good interpersonal skills.        .

Main Duties and Responsibilities!

Fosters and inculcates a business oriented culture, which recognizes superior service, teamwork, taking initiatives, empowerment and respect;
Fine-tunes the organization set up to ensure that the structure supports the chosen strategic focus and direction;
Formulates and implements a Manpower Plan which is consistent with the Company's Business Plan;
 From time to time reviews the remuneration package with the objective of attaining internal and external equity balance;
Implements performance management system that supports the business plan;
Prepares and implements a Training Plan and budget that enhances levels of staff performance;
Ensures that the Human Resource Management Information System produces the necessary reports for use in planning and control;
Ensures provision of cost effective welfare services to employees;
Manages internal transport logistic requirements for all departments;
Manages the upkeep of office environment cleaning services, fumigation, electricity, water and sewerage in an efficient way to ensure all staff clone in a healthy and safe environment;
Manages the Company's security and out sourced security services, such as the security guards and fire protection services, at the central level '¥;d in the zones to ensure the Company's property are well protected;   
Conducts open performance review and a raise of subordinates and gives feedback;
In consultation with the Managing Editor standards as part of the individual objectives/targets and performance agreement

 SENIOR LEGAL OFFICER (1 post)
Job Title Senior Legal Officer
Department ME's Office
Reports to Company Secretary
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS AND ADVANCEMENT

(I) Direct Entry Qualifications
Holder of LLB from a recognized Institution and who is also registered with relevant professional body and also registered as a practicing advocate. Must have at least five (5) years relevant work experience. Must have computer skills.

(b) Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares 'approval responses to public legal inquires about the Company operations for;
Draws for approval and/or verifies contracts and agreements involving the Company and other parties;
Administers compliance to the terms of agreements and contracts to ensure that the Company interests are safeguarded;
Reviews and develops the Company's legal procedures and recommends areas of improvement;
Reviews legal reports and opinion on matters involving the Company claims for presentation to the senior management meeting;
Conducts open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and gives feed back
Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior
Ensures that the Company complies with statutory and other regulation requirement; and
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by head of unit

PROOFREADER II (2 POSTS)
 Job Title Proofreader II
Reports to Editors Editorial/Advertising
Reports to Job Holder None

 Entry Qualification
Holder of BA in Linguistics or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.5/he must have computer skills.

Main duties           
Checks on grammar and language structure
Advices the Sub Editors in case of doubtful stories e.g. names, years or repetition
Calls the attention of the Sub Editors to an issue which s/he deems not clear
Ensures that all corrections are made correctly
Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior;
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the head of section

 ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS AND ADVANCEMENT
Entry Qualifications:
Holder of Ordinary/Advanced Certificate in Secondary School Education and must have undertaken receptionist/Telephone operator's course from recognized Institution. S/he must have computer skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  Provides telephone services and reporting on the defects;
Receives and sends calls of telephone users;
Attends to visitors with courtesy and maintains an up to date visitor's record book;
Records all outgoing telephone calls;
Keeps visitors record book;
Reports on telephone defects and ensures that the defects are rectified;
Maintains and updates the internal telephone directory; and
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the head of section
